The far left New York Times was quick to criticize President Trump and support Iran in a recent Op-Ed. The NY Times support for Obama’s policies of appeasing and giving money to Iran is plain wrong and down right suspect.
Heshmat Alavi describes the situation in Iran with an excellent Twitter thread over the weekend –

The @nytimes claims:
"The latest set of sanctions on Tehran could make a bad situation worse."As if Obama's 2015 Iran nuclear deal made the situation far better by providing $150 bn in credit & $1.7 bn in cash to Tehran, allowing the mullahs to wreak havoc across the region. pic.twitter.com/83Q6s8OHTj

The @nytimes then criticizes Trump's decision to end #Iran's oil sanctions waivers. What NYT does not tell its leaders is where Tehran spends its petrodollars: pic.twitter.com/nD4eh2DvNR

It is interesting how the @nytimes runs the same talking points of @CNN & #Iran’s FM @JZarif, along with Tehran apologists/lobbyists, such as the disgraced @tparsi & @farnazfassihi. pic.twitter.com/FvXNPSgO5o— Heshmat Alavi (@HeshmatAlavi) May 5, 2019
8)@nytimes criticizes Trump designating #Iran’s Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) as a terrorist org.
While agreeing the IRGC is a malign actor, why doesn’t NYT, being an American outlet, remind its readers that the IRGC killed over 600 U.S. troops in Iraq?https://t.co/Etv5VEqhF3

10)@nytimes claims:
“Iran is still abiding by the 2015 agreement which put strict limits on its nuclear program…”A reminder for NYT:https://t.co/oIAabVpBnS

12)@nytimes ends its editorial by saying:
“Establishing a channel for heading off potential conflicts should be a priority.”Translation:
Trump should return to Obama’s weak appeasement policy vis-à-vis #Iran. As an Iranian, I despise the Obama years…https://t.co/W3kgbQlnuy

On a last note, I believe @TheJusticeDept should launch an investigation into the @nytimes’ relations with the regime in #Iran:cc:@realDonaldTrump@SecPompeo@AmbJohnBolton@FBI

Perhaps it is time to investigate the far left Times for its relationship with Iran?
