We swear we did not steal this from the satirical website The Onion.
So special counsel Robert Mueller on Friday issued his final report after a two-year-long probe into allegations that President Trump and members of his campaign colluded with Russians in an attempt to alter the outcome of the 2016 presidential election (spoiler alert: They didn’t find diddly).
In the hubbub that followed, James Comey — the former FBI director who was responsible for clearing Hillary Clinton in her massive email scandal and who then orchestrated a leak of his memos to The New York Times after he was fired by Trump — posted a cryptic tweet. The post showed Comey among a stand of tall trees, looking up in wonder. The accompanying text said: “So many questions.”
So many questions. pic.twitter.com/66KaR52Kk8

The post immediately made us think of the old adage,” Can’t see the forest for the trees.” The expression, dictionary.com says, is “used of someone who is too involved in the details of a problem to look at the situation as a whole.”
So Comey was literally standing in the trees, and he figuratively cannot see the forest ‘cuz of all the @#$%& trees! You can’t make this stuff up, people.
The internet, as is sometimes the case, was brutal.
Honey! Take a picture of me looking pensively at these trees and then message it to me!

Ergo the trees wish you hadn’t sent the stupid letter which lost Hillary the election. Remember that?

You should burn the forest down, tell America Hillary did it, and then apologize for being incorrect later…for profit.

My question is do you have a full time photographer following you around to capture these ridiculous moments? Also, when will you apologize to Americans for leading us down a Russian Haux rabbit hole. You knew it wasn’t true! #ShameOnYou #NoCollusion #NoObstruction

James, they're called "trees."
Don't worry. Someone will be around shortly to take you to a very nice place where you will have lots of friends. The nurses are very nice too.— SoWhatSays (@DMinorRocks) March 25, 2019
No questions. If you cut a tree the wrong way it falls on YOU

So many questions like what? How prison food really taste, which federal prison will they send you to, and how sharing a prison cell with a fbi hating guy or one that really wants to get to know you because he has a boy crush on you. Yep there is a lot of questions

So many questions:
Where in the heck is my passport?
Does anyone have a spare depends diaper?
Oh my God. What is the password for my offshore bank account?
How are my book sales?
OH Bob. Why? Why? Why?— A Fellow American (@PDykie) March 25, 2019
Looking at the forest, or just the trees?

But the award for best reply goes to Scooter Downey.
