Well, the Senate has voted on — in Ben Shapiro’s words — “one of the stupidest documents ever written” (here).
[Apropos = the Stupidest Words Ever Spoken]
The dream of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez — to live in a great land without air travel — may have to wait a smidge for its fulfillment: On Tuesday afternoon, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and his GOP colleagues sunk AOC’s battleship.
As covered by RedState’s Jennifer Van Laar, the 29-year-old cow fart fighter for the Nazi’s economic system was none too happy with the way the plan was addressed. In fact, remarking on Senator Mike Lee’s hilarious review, she tweeted, “If this guy can be Senator, you can do anything.”
Like many other women + working people, I occasionally suffer from impostor syndrome: those small moments, especially on hard days, where you wonder if the haters are right.
But then they do things like this to clear it right up.
If this guy can be Senator, you can do anything. https://t.co/vU4ChbTnnr

If Alexandria wants to point out that anyone can make it to Congress, she needn’t look that far, as evidenced here, here, here, here, and here.
For evidence that the GND is dead, look no further than the chamber’s vote: 57 to 0.
Earlier, Mitch characterized the Deal thusly:
“The Green New Deal, my Democratic colleagues’ rallying cry: Killing off entire domestic industries. Winding down millions of jobs. Basically outlawing the only sources of energy that working-class and middle-class families can actually afford.”

And there was more:
It’s remarkable to see a party coalesce around a proposal to forcibly remake the entire country on the whims of Brooklyn and San Francisco. But it’s been even more stunning to see my Democrat colleagues angry and upset that the plan they support is about to get a vote.

Later today, the American people will see which of their senators can do the common-sense thing and vote “no” on this destructive socialist daydream.
— Leader McConnell (@senatemajldr) March 26, 2019
And they’ll see which senators are so fully committed to radical left-wing ideology that they can’t even vote “no” on self-inflicted economic ruin that would take a sledgehammer to America’s middle class.
— Leader McConnell (@senatemajldr) March 26, 2019
Of course, voting on something so dumb as the Green New Deal may seem ridiculous, but “ridiculous” is what the Dems served up — Cory Booker even compared opposition to the unworkable revolution to the Third Reich (here).
He was surely, then, disappointed that Congress gave a big ol’ “Heil Hitler.”
Despite the absurdity of the GND, our family and friends who only know what they see on MSNBC and CNN will likely continue to think the plan was a lifesaver, as seen in this exchange as a result of Mitch’s tweet:
For anyone that didn't bother to check, Mcconnel has taken nearly $2.2 million from the fossil fuel industry. He is obviously trying to protect their interests rather than make substantial change to reduce America's carbon footprint which is among the highest in the world.
— Tim Novak (@timnovak440) March 26, 2019
You will pay that in taxes over 10 years with the new green deal. No cows no combustion engines rebuilding almost every home and business in America. This is a fairytale not legislation
— Rick Love (@RickLove040870) March 26, 2019
First, it's a non-binding resolution for the vision of our climate impact over the next decade. Second, the resolution doesn't actually prohibit any of the talking points pushed by critics because it is aimed at achieving net zero emissions. Check your facts.
— Tim Novak (@timnovak440) March 26, 2019
And that 10 year plan is 58 to 93 trillion dollars. More than we have spent in the entire life span of our government. The democratic party does not even support this deal that's why they are pissed it was even brought to the floor for a vote. To undermine the subject
— Rick Love (@RickLove040870) March 26, 2019
Where are you getting those numbers from 58-93 trillion?? Come on? Use more than Fox news to back up your opinion! It would have been awesome if that 2.2 million Mitch got paid would have been spent on people suffering from the fossil fuels industry!

I don't watch fox CNN MSNBC I watch the house and Senate live on cspan. Today 43 Democrats just answered present they would not even vote to support it because of the cost and socialist policies involved. You would be much more informed if you watched the actual people debate
— Rick Love (@RickLove040870) March 26, 2019
Perhaps Cory Booker and Elizabeth Warren should talk to Rick Love — both Spartacus and Pocahauntus signed on as Senate co-sponsors of the plan to retrofit every building in America. Stellar work.
In an ideal world, all Americans would join together and recognize the GND for what it truly is, therefore immortalizing it by its more accurate moniker: the Brown New Deal.
Today, Tuesday March 26th, the Senate flushed.
Speaking of names, maybe in a couple years, AOC’ll follow Hillary and write a memoir (here) of the failure. Whereas Trump penned The Art of the Deal, given the GND’s aspirations, I have a suggested title: The Fart of the Deal.
