Senator Lisa Murkowski (R-AK)
RINO Alaskan Senator Lisa Murkowski will vote with Democrats to support a resolution to block President Trump’s national emergency declaration to secure border wall funding.
The resolution is expected to pass the Democrat-controlled House Tuesday afternoon. The Senate will likely vote on the resolution later this week.
Fox News has just confirmed that Murkowski will once again join Democrats to obstruct President Trump’s agenda.
In an interview with the Associated Press on Monday, Murkowski said she is supporting the resolution not because she disagrees with President Trump on border security but says there needs to be “clear lines” on “the separation of powers, the institution of the Congress as that appropriating branch.”
Senators Susan Collins (R-ME) and Thom Tillis (NC) will also vote with the Democrats to block President Trump’s national emergency declaration.
47 Democrat Senators, including two Independent Senators who caucus with Dems, plus 3 Republican Senators voting to block the national emergency declaration would mean the President will most likely have to use his veto power.
Murkowski’s vote means just one more Senate Republican is needed to pass the resolution.
CHAD PERGRAM: Fox confirms that GOP AK Sen Murkowski will support a resolution to terminate Trump’s nat’l emergency for the border. This virtually assures that the measure will pass the Senate if/when it comes up if Dems stick together …after it passes the Hse later today (which is expected)

President Trump recently declared a national emergency citing cartel violence, human trafficking and drug trafficking to access funds to build the border wall.
House Democrats immediately got to work to block President Trump’s national emergency declaration.
The Democrat-led House Judiciary Committee announced it launched an investigation into President Trump’s declaration of a national emergency at the southern border.
President Trump’s declaration of a national emergency is completely lawful. If Congress has a problem with the President declaring national emergencies, they should change the existing laws.
Sixteen states led by California sued the Trump administration last Monday over his decision to declare a national emergency to secure funding for the border wall.
If the Senate passes the resolution this week, President Trump will be forced to use his veto power and it does not appear Congress has the number of votes to override his veto.
