Jim Carrey Attacks Trump Women, and the Left Continue Playing by Different Rules

- Desember 29, 2018

Oh, boy.

I cover a fair amount of news about Hollywood, and I don’t like it — I end up writing about people I love, not in the happiest of ways.

Case in point: Jim Carrey — he’s the only contemporary performer whose manner nods to my beloved Jerry Lewis.

Unfortunately, he’s not the only modern actor to go rabidly left-wing, and his jaunt around the perimeter of reasonableness pains me.

But here we go.

In the last couple weeks, Jim has locked into his sites two female Trump officials, which — if the parties were reversed — would equate an assault on women. But let the GOP strikes commence!

On December 19th, the once-great comedian spiraled with the following depiction of White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders:

“Gorgon,” incidentally, describes each of three snake-haired sisters in Greek mythology, one of whom is Medusa.

On the 27th, Jim went after Homeland Security chief Kirstjen Nielsen, who Carrey bizarrely labeled a kidnapping murderer — a reference to the recent deaths of two children while in U.S. Customs and Border Protection custody (see here, here, here, and here). Which, of course, makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. Not even a little bit. At all. In any remote way. Period.

For your viewing displeasure, here are a few more Carrey creations. I’m sure your comments will outdo mine:

It’s always sad to me when an entertainer begins to rage against half their audience. Once they turn that corner, there’s no going back.

Jim Carrey is a brilliant entertainer, and Dumb & Dumber will remain, in my mind, one of the greatest comedies of all time. Unfortunately, the title also describes socialism, of which Jim — who’s worth $150 million — is puzzlingly an outspoken supporter (here).

Furthermore, the Left persist with their attacks on women in the Trump administration, unfettered by any constraint they would pose on critics of Obama’s female staff. Moreover, Donald Trump is known for placing women in high positions; yet, his elevation of the likes of Sarah Huckabee Sanders, Kirstjen Nielsen, and Kellyanne Conway continue to garner no appreciation.

When it comes to evenhandedly assessing President Trump in particular and the GOP in general, the Left seems to have encountered that very mythical figure Jim painted: having looked upon a Gorgon, their brains have turned to stone.
