The Democrat District Attorney in Los Angeles will not prosecute Michael Avenatti’s domestic violence case as a felony.

The D.A. has referred Avenatti’s case to the City Attorney’s office who will now decide whether to charge the creepy porn lawyer with a misdemeanor.

Via the LA District Attorney: A case presented today by Los Angeles police involving attorney Michael Avenatti has been referred to the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office for misdemeanor filing consideration, the LA County District Attorney’s Office announced.

Michael Avenatti threatened to sue TMZ and demanded a retraction and apology on Tuesday over a story they published last week alleging Avenatti beat his girlfriend and left her face bruised and swollen.

Avenatti, a rumored 2020 Presidential candidate also accused TMZ of ‘trying to help Trump.’

Michael Avenatti was arrested last Wednesday for domestic violence.

TMZ reported last week:

Our law enforcement sources say Avenatti was arrested Wednesday after a woman filed a felony DV report. We’re told her face was “swollen and bruised” with “red marks” on both cheeks.

Our sources say the alleged incident occurred Tuesday night, but there was another confrontation Wednesday between the two at an exclusive apartment building in the Century City area of L.A.

We’re told Wednesday afternoon the woman was on the sidewalk on her cellphone with sunglasses covering her eyes, sobbing and screaming on the phone, “I can’t believe you did this to me. I’m going to get a restraining order against you.”

Mareli Miniutti, the woman who accused creepy porn lawyer of domestic violence last week and had him arrested, also filed for a restraining order against Avenatti.

The Blast obtained a declaration submitted by Miniutti which detailed how Avenatti dragged her across the floor and screamed at her, calling her an “ungrateful f*cking b*tch.”

The Blast also posted photos of the alleged injuries Mareli Miniutti suffered at the hands of Avenatti which can be seen here.

Avenatti maintained he is innocent of the domestic abuse allegations and said he will be vindicated.
