The Kentucky Senator released the following statement.
Today, U.S. Senator Paul delivered a letter on behalf of President Donald Trump to Russian President Vladimir Putin. The letter was delivered to representatives of President Putin, as the Russian president has been out of Moscow all week.
“I was honored to deliver a letter from President Donald J. Trump to President Vladimir Putin’s administration,” said Sen. Paul. “The letter emphasized the importance of further engagement in various areas including countering terrorism, enhancing legislative dialogue and resuming cultural exchanges.”
#Russia's state TV:@Dr_Ariel_Cohen: “We don’t know whether he [Rand Paul] delivered any secret messages from Trump to the Russian side. That is unknown to us.”
The host asks Konstantin Kosachev: “Did he or didn’t he?”
Kosachev, grinning: “It’s known to us, but I won’t tell.” ©️ pic.twitter.com/bajgKdLQeK— Julia Davis (@JuliaDavisNews) August 6, 2018
