On Tuesday, Freedom Caucus Chairman Mark Meadows (R-NC) called Rosenstein a “witness” in the ongoing investigation of the DOJ because he signed the Carter Page FISA application and called on the DAG to recuse himself immediately.
Meadows also previously called for the Carter Page FISA documents to be declassified and further unredacted.
The top GOP lawmaker tweeted out a screenshot of Rosenstein’s signature on the Carter Page FISA application and called for the DAG to step aside.
Meadows tweeted: Potential FISA abuse has been a central issue in Congress’ investigation of the DOJ. The Carter Page FISA application revealed Rod Rosenstein signed the document and authorized surveillance. Mr. Rosenstein is a fact witness and should recuse himself from this process immediately.

Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) also called out DAG Rosenstein for signing the fraudulent Carter Page FISA application.
FBI got parts of Dossier from top DOJ official Bruce Ohr.
Ohr‘s wife Nellie worked for Fusion.
Fusion was paid by Clinton.
The Dossier was never validated and was the key to getting the FISA warrant to spy on Trump campaign.
Rod Rosenstein signed the final FISA renewal.

On Saturday, Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton announced documents related to the FISA warrants on Trump’s former campaign advisor, Carter Page were released by the FBI — and arrived at JW headquarters.
Obama’s Deep State FBI and DOJ obtained a FISA warrant on Carter Page in October of 2016 and three subsequent renewals in order to spy on Trump’s campaign and transition team.
Comey, Rosenstein, McCabe and Sally Yates all signed the FISA applications even though Hillary’s fraudulent Russia dossier was used as a pretext to obtain the warrants.
Rosenstein is in fact a witness and should recuse himself for conflicts of interest.
Attorney General Jeff Sessions recused himself from the Russia investigation for fall less–he even cited the wrong law in his recusal.
