Trump’s former campaign chairman Paul Manafort was hit with another indictment by Robert Mueller Friday for ‘witness tampering.’
CNBC reported:
Special counsel Robert Mueller filed new witness tampering criminal charges against ex-Trump campaign chief Paul Manafort as well as Russian citizen Konstantin Kilimnik as a defendant.
The superseding indictment lodged by a grand jury sitting in federal court in Washington, DC, came days after Mueller asked the judge in Manafort’s case to revoke his bail and jail him because of an alleged effort to tamper with witnesses.
Manafort and Kilimnik were both hit with new charges accusing them of using intimidation or force against a witness to obstruct justice, and also with tampering with a witness, victim or informant.
The Special Counsel accused Trump’s former campaign chairman Paul Manafort of attempting to tamper with potential witnesses, in a court filing Monday.
Dirty Cop Mueller raided Manafort’s iCloud account to obtain phone records and other documents.
Reuters reported Monday:
The FBI has documents and statements from the two people, as well as telephone records and documents recovered through a search of Manafort’s iCloud account showing that Trump’s former campaign manager attempted communication while he was out on bail, according to Domin.
The communications were “in an effort to influence their testimony and to otherwise conceal evidence,” Domin wrote. “The investigation into this matter is ongoing.”
