UPDATE 1 a.m. EDT: Peel police report two young male suspects entered the restaurant and detonated an IED. Details and a photo of the suspects are appended at the end of this article.
An explosion at the Bombay Bhel Indian restaurant in the Ontario, Canada town of Mississauga Thursday night is reported to have wounded over a dozen people with “penetrating trauma.” Mississauga is located near Toronto on Lake Ontario. No cause has been determined however a police bomb squad is on the scene and firefighters have been told to stay back while the restaurant is searched for any explosive devices.

Jeremy Cohn is broadcasting live from the scene. He reports police have told firefighters to stay back as they investigate whether “explosive devices” are in the restaurant though no cause of the explosion has been determined.
