Twice-failed presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton just won’t stop whining about her crushing 2016 election loss.
On Monday, Crooked Hillary blamed social media for her election loss then called for censorship before the midterm elections.
She also floated the theory that her campaign paid higher prices for Facebook advertising. Facebook responded with a chart showing Donald Trump actually paid more. OUCH.
Hillary floated a report her campaign was charged twice the amount for advertising rates than Donald Trump from her Twitter account.
Hillary quoted Tech Crunch contributor Kim-Mai Cutler who tweeted, “I can’t believe this tweet isn’t going viral. Do people really care that Facebook may have systematically charged the Clinton campaign an order of magnitude or two more than it was charging Trump to reach American voters? (Which is not allowed in other mediums by law).”

Hillary’s response to Kim-Mai Cutler:
We should all care about how social media platforms play a part in our democratic process. Because unless it’s addressed it will happen again. The midterms are in 8 months. We owe it to our democracy to get this right, and fast. https://t.co/aM3pRrZW4J

On Tuesday, Facebook pushed back on a report that claimed Hillary Clinton’s campaign was charged twice the amount for advertising rates than Donald Trump’s campaign.
Poor Crooked Hillary, another one of her conspiracy theories got debunked.
Vice President of Facebook advertising, Andrew “Boz” Bosworth responded to the report with a chart showing Trump indeed paid more.
Boz tweeted, “After some discussion we’ve decided to share the CPM comparison on Trump campaign ads vs. Clinton campaign ads. This chart shows that during general election period, Trump campaign paid slightly higher CPM prices on most days rather than lower as has been reported.”

Facebook has a variety of advertising options including CPC (cost per click) or CPM (cost per mille). CPM is the cost for every 1,000 impressions.
Donald Trump’s ads were viewed by more users which is why he paid more. Makes sense.
