In his weekly social media update, Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton hinted “Deep State” efforts to destroy President Trump have reached a tipping point. “It all seems to be coming to a head,” tweeted Fitton Saturday.
Tipping point on Deep State effort to destroy @RealDonaldTrump? Between text messages, #ReleasetheMemo, etc it all seems to be coming to a head. https://t.co/YSb722sHFf

Fox News reported Thursday the “missing,” texts were all located and that efforts to locate additional text messages were underway.
“Our effort to recover any additional text messages is ongoing,” Horowitz wrote in a letter to Congressional investigators
“We will provide copies of the text messages that we recover from these devices to the Department so that the Department’s leadership can take any management action it deems appropriate,” Horowitz added.
In his latest address, Fitton said the government was lying when it claimed the text messages went missing. Such was the same excuse given in regard to documents on the tarmac meeting between then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch and former President Bill Clinton during the 2016 election.
To make matters more bizarre, Fox News‘ Jake Gibson reported thousands of bureau cell phones were hit with the same technical glitch as Peter Strzok and Lisa Page.
*** EXCLUSIVE – THOUSANDS OF FBI CELLPHONES WERE AFFECTED BY “TECHNICAL GLITCH” ***
Federal Law Enforcement Officials tell Fox News, “a few thousand FBI employees’ cell phones” were affected by the technical glitch which lost some of the text messages of Strzok and Page.— Jake Gibson (@JakeBGibson) January 24, 2018
Nonetheless, Judicial Watch announced Wednesday it filed a FOIA lawsuit against the Sessions Justice Department in an effort to obtain the since-found text messages between FBI agents Peter Strzok and Lisa Page.
.@JudicialWatch Sues for Text Messages of FBI’s Strzok and Page. I don’t believe for one minute that the Strzok-Page texts are really missing. And Director Wray needs to stop with the stonewalling. https://t.co/ufLvl0pOFL

On Saturday, we learned only 15 percent of the “missing,” text messages between FBI agents Peter Strzok and Lisa Page have been handed over to Congressional investigators, reports Byron York of the Washington Examiner. The Justice Department says roughly 85 percent of the texts are still in the process of being retrieved. However, as York tweeted Saturday, Congress still shouldn’t expect to receive the entire batch because a “[m] ajority [are] deemed personal, or withheld for other reasons.”
The contents of the text messages are deeply troubling, Fitton said. Special attention should be paid to the reference of an alleged “secret society,” made up of Justice Department and FBI officials that may have met under the auspices to destroy President Trump.
The “missing,” text message controversy coincides with the FISA memo, set to be released in the coming weeks, added Fitton.
Republican lawmakers over the past two weeks have hinted what’s inside the explosive document.
During an appearance on CNN‘s morning show “New Day” Friday, Rep. Chris Stewart (R-UT) told host Chris Cuomo that the “essence” of the “shocking,” FISA abuse memo centers around whether or not the FBI and Justice Department provided false information to the FISA court for the purpose of obtaining spy warrants.
According to Fox News contributor Sara Carter, the contents of the memo are so “explosive,” that it could end special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia probe. Additionally, the memo’s release could lead to the prosecution of top FBI and Justice Department officials, says Carter.
According to the Washington Examiner‘s Byron York, Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte (R-VA), Oversight Committee Chairman Trey Gowdy (R-SC) and Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes (R-CA) huddled together Saturday to discuss a “never-before-used procedure” for releasing the “shocking” FISA abuse memo.
The culmination of the FISA memo’s imminent release, coupled with additional Strzok-Page text messages set to come to light, there is little doubt the FBI and Justice Department’s efforts to thwart President Trump will be more exposed than ever.
