Facebook is to going to be rolling out major changes to its newsfeed which will impact every user and dramatically change the type of content they see.
Facebook is focusing on your nexus, friends and family, as well as what they dub “trusted sources”.
Facebook plans to make those “trusted sources” not exactly what you trust, but rather, what they trust. The sources will be pages that are “diverse and representative” and based on Facebook’s sample pool of users. There is no specification over what sources will be “trusted” or not.
FACEBOOK announced earlier this week it would Start Ranking News Outlets — Promote “Reputable” Pages to Users:
There’s a way to prevent Facebook from hiding posts from your favorite sites and we’re here to break down exactly how to do this:
1. Go to the dropdown arrow in the top righthand corner and select “News Feed Preferences”
2. Click “Prioritize who to see first”
3. Choose “Pages only”
A secondary option would be to go to the page of the site you follow and choose “See First” in the dropdown menu below “Following”
