Tuesday in South Korea a liberal US reporter asked President Trump about gun control and trying to be cute tied it to “extreme vetting.”

Liberal Reporter: You’ve talked about wanting to put extreme vetting on people wanting to come into the United States. But I wonder if you would consider putting extreme vetting for people trying to buy a gun?
President Trump: Well you’re bringing up a situation that probably should not be discussed too much right now. But it’s OK if you feel that is an appropriate question even though we are in the heart of South Korea. If you did what you’re suggesting there would be no difference three days ago and you might not have had that very brave person who happened to have a gun or rifle in his truck and shoot him and hit him and neutralize him.
